Rubik's Cube 3x3 - Finding a Beginner's Solution

I have met a lot of people who have expressed interest in solving the Rubik's Cube after witnessing my solves. Yet, the majority of those people will not learn to solve the cube, even though they were genuinely interested at the time! What happens? There are a few factors that are frequent in occurrence, and I will review each to remove dead ends for those interested.

“I could not find a good solution” or “The solution I found was confusing”.

If you search in Google for “How to solve a Rubik's Cube”, you'll net nearly one million results! Many of those results are outdated, confusing, and misleading (even to the point of containing serious errors). The internet is a double-edged sword, in that we have a world of information available to us, but anyone in the world can present it. And not everyone has the faculties needed to teach a subject, even if they are well versed. When learning something new our thresholds to frustration can only carry us so far. The goal then is to find a clear and concise solution, and I have a few good examples for you to start with (listed below). In addition, not everyone learns well from pictures and texts. They need to see with their own eyes what is happening. For this reason I will also link a Youtube series which is also a clear winner for beginners!

Other considerations given while providing these solutions is that they transition easily to Intermediate and Advanced Solutions (if you desire solving faster). In this way you can just add on to your existing Beginner's solution a few ideas at a time. Additionally, these solutions are most familiar to cubers in the community (more on that later).

I met Jasmine Lee at the 2003 World Championship, and was one of the nicest people around. Her solution also happens to be one of the cleanest I've seen.
